It's a biggie but I happened to have a suitable socket. Breaker bar no good as the back end of the bike is off.
I used a 1/2" drive T bar from an old socket set.
Turn engine until it's coming up on compression. Hold T bar so there is no slack and hit it with a medium weight hammer.
two good thumps and the nut was loose.
