Hello , i have a '23 R1250GS and i want to replace a plastic part which i scratched , the part number is 46638556637 , its actually the left side low fuel tank plastic cover and my question is if i can remove it without removing other parts like the upper fuel tank cover or any other , can i just unscrew the bolts and take it out and then put the new part in ? or do i have to remove also another parts to have access ? thanks

You need to remove the front seat, and nothing else. The cover itself is held in by two torx screws at the rear, and at the front by a couple of plastic pegs moulded to the back face of the cover which fit into slots on the frame. You’ll see them when you look at the replacement cover before you fit it. Once you’ve removed the screws, gently wiggle the rear of the cover downwards and the front pegs will come out. Don’t be too brutal, you might snap them. Fitting is the reverse. Fit the pegs at the front end, then line up the screw holes and fix the screws.
