I've done about 250 miles on my new GS and, so far, am delighted with it. I need to run a wire from the auxilary socket to under the pillion seat to power Autocom and PMR radio so I have been trying to remove the RHS side panel. I can get the screws and clips at the top undone but can't get the lower locating pin to move. It's the black plastic one at the bottom, just by the bottom of the radiator. I'm a bit worried about breaking the fairly flimsy panel, anyone got any tips for removing this fastening, should it just pull out?:nenau

No just knock the centre of the plastic pin out from the front

And not to hard either or you'll lose the little pin, i just pushed the centre thro with a small screwdriver and cup you hand underneath and the pin should fail into your palm.

Is it like one of these Honda type things?

Thanks Chris, I know those having broken quite a few on my old blackbird:blast
