So, if I want to replace the rear gearbox seal myself what sort of a job is it? How hard is the swingarm to get off and is there any bearings in it that would benifit a slop of grease?
Any tips on how to do it would be much appreciated :thumb2

cheers

Cheers George! I looked all over advrider and couldn`t find that one :blast
You haven`t done this job by any chance have you?

Lee,

If you look at the reply I wrote when you were asking about where the oil came from that you found in the gaitor I mentioned the basics of doing the job. It's worth greasing the swinging arm bearings as I reckon water getting past the final drive gaitor evaporates and condenses out up around the inside of the swinging arm including the swinging arm bearings which in my case went rusty from the inside of the arm and not from the outside which has a seal to keep the water out.
