Which of these two end cans is the narrowest? I am thinking of putting on a 180/55 rear tyre/wheel and need as much clearance as poss.
The importer of Remus told me that the end can is not oval but trapezoide(fatter at the bottom) is that correct?

I don't expect any more power from just an end can, but I don't want to loose any power either. Does anybody know whether the Akrapovic or Remus is better in this respect, and do they sound the same?
The Akrapovic is much more expensive, is it just the name?
Any info would be great.

Thanks,
Rod

Contact Nippy Normans ......they sell both the Akrapovic and Remus systems and end cans....maybe they could answer your inquire... :thumb :bounce1

The Remus is fatter at the top, not the bottom. I doubt if there is anything to choose between them for clearance or performance. Just changing the end can will do very little to performance...just gets louder! You have to decide whether or not you will be changing the pipework in the future. Even then there isn't much to choose between them. You really ought to consider the BOS cans/pipework as well. Just choose the one you like the look of, or the one that best suits your pocket! Whatever you choose, don't expect to get your head ripped off by the increase in acceleration!!

Rod,

Are you looking to fit a 180/55 tyre to a standard rim, or will you be fitting a different wheel altogether?

I am looking at using 17" ST wheels.
I have ordered an Akrapovic end can from Nippy Norman. Don't expect more power, just a little more legel sound.

I am quite sure that the BOS end can is the narrowest; I've got one and there is large gap between the can and the rear wheel; do not expect more power but surely a little bit more torque at low revs and of course a better sound
