Remus baffle removal

Guys - my 1150gs Remus looks like this:

Does the baffle pull out of the input end of the can ?

IIRC it's just one small bolt and the baffle pulls out..

It's on the underside of the exit nozzle...

As per above it should be a small screw to remove and a wiggle out. If its never been removed then you need to drill the rivit out first.

Thanks guys - I'll have a go at it tomorrow.

Mine was riveted I drilled it out. Pulled baffle out tapped the hole so I can put it back if I want to.

I've got a vague feeling that the Remus boxes come with a small self-tapping stainless steel screw to pop into the hole left over from drilling out that pop rivet....Tape (unless it's a fancy high temp stuff ) is going to melt on the back of the 'zorst......

If it's been in there a while it'll almost certainly need a good tug to get it out. Nothing wrong with a good tug mind

Introduction of r1100gs training course certificate when I worked in a bmw main dealer (8 years) I was selling Remus exhausts for bmw's before they were popular. We also did prob one of the first alloy wheel conversions too.
