Ive recently fitted a Remus can and have had an attempt at removing the allen bolt but am i correct is it a case of undoing the bolt in the image and then pulling on that piece at the end?

Any pointers much appreciated.

Thanks
Mark

Your picture is not that clear but you normally have to remove a little grub screw towards the end of the baffle and the central part will then pull out. If it has been in any length of time it may need a little encouragement as it likely to be a bit carboned up.

Yeah. I’ve had a few of the hexcone exhausts.

Bolt out and pull.

It’ll be tight as chuff.

The newer ones have a tiny blob of weld on.

I’ve circled the bolt as like you say it’s not clear to see.

Anyone know where the weld might be located is it at the top?

It’s visible on the end of it’s there.

Have you tried an Allen key (4mm) on it yet?

Probably need a ball end type.

I would imagine to achieve a particular sound

I've never left a baffle in an aftermarket "silencer"

Sent with a Zen10
Deffinelty, what’s the point buying them if you don’t want the sound. Expensive only for cosmetic value.

Can easy put it back in if too much noise but I love the downshift sounds.

Still 20 at heart 😀

Had a go and its rounded off, it didn't feel good however kept at it with some other options, so not sure if it was me that rounded it or if its been attempted in the past. Drill it is then see if i can get it off..

Only one dislike but he likes high viz and getting 82mpg out of his bike says it all eh??
Perhaps not as much as someone wishing to increase the noise of his exhaust to be perceived as 'cool' -
But do please ride past as many speed cameras as you can, particularly those which are now fitted with sound meters...
They'll be delighted to take your picture!

p.s. Grow up lad and ride responsibly.

Luckily where i am there are limited speed cameras and thankfully none with sound meters, long may it last that namby-pamby Britian doesnt make it up here. I think the way im going with getting the bolt out you wont need to worry as i wont be making any extra noise anytime soon as its stuck :)

All for a bit of fun, for me i actually like the sound of the bike and it wont be long until we wont be able to enjoy, so for now i will make hay...

Anyway each to their own and i will respectifully try and remain pretending to myself that im still 20 even in my 50's
