Hi There,

I have fitted the Remus end can (Titanium one of that makes any difference) and remus y-piece collector box thing but just need to know if I need to make any other adjustments to the engine tuning or do I just ride it?

It does seem to run a bit rough but coming from a ZZR11 I'm not sure if thats just normal?

cat code plug

The 1150 bikes can run too lean after the alteration. BMW seem to pull out any cat code plug in the fuse box. I made the Steptoe Link (do a search on this) which I believe adopts a fuel map suitable for no cat and an end can. You have to power dowen the motronic by removing fuse 5. Made a big difference although recently I have replaced the remus end can with the standard as I just found it too loud. Power seems to be the same as this is released not by the can but the y piece.

I have recently done the same as gazzr and fitted a Remus & "Y" piece. In your post Nige you say "You have to power dowen the motronic by removing fuse 5". Why do you do this and how does removing fuse 5 compensate?

I fitted a remus y piece and road legal end can 1000 miles ago and bike runs great no back fires, no lean running(according to plug check). Mid range power smoother and stronger.
This is with exhaust sensor and cat plug fitted.
Did remove fuse5 when fitting and opened throttle twice with ignition on before starting.
Bike as also got standard air filter, and valves clearance and throttle balance was carried out just before exhaust was fitted

Thanks for that roddy. I have also fitted a K&N air filter and a "Steptoe Link" which I believe does the same thing as removing fuse 5. The bike now goes like a dream. Just for piece of mind I took it to get Dyno'd this morning and I now have a healthy increase in both torque & BHP. Here's the dyno graph:

Sounds Too Easy!

Hi All,

Sorry for not replying to you all but I'm travelling at the moment so am very busy!

I have read the replies (and link) so to get this straight all have to do is:

1. Ignition on
2. Take fuse 5 out
3. Ignition off and wait a few mins
4. Put fuse back in
5. Ignition on
6. Open and close throttle three times

And thats it?

Sorry for asking the same old thing but travelling had fried my brain and I struggle to know what day it is....

thanks all

Correctamundo!! It establishes the max and min operating positions of the Throttle Position Sensor.
