Hi everyone. Can someone please tell me if a Remus end can that was fitted to a R1100GS is suitable for fitting to a brand new R1150GS and if so would I have to buy a chip to match the 1150?

May or may not...
Your Remus can may or may not fit, however if you intend to keep the catalytic convertor in place you could get away with just fitting the can, ordinarily a chip would not be needed but you are letting the engine get rid of its gases a little more quickly so it may run on the lean side of comfortable.
As it only take a few minutes to remove the silencer and assuming you have the old Remus to hand, retro fitting should be quite easy. Make sure that you seal the exhaust properly so there are no air leaks etc.
