Nice long ride today with the new headers. Sounds very good with std can, in fact surprisingly good and loud which has made me hold fire in a new end can. Plently of popping and IMO a better response to throttle movement which would probably show up on a dyno as better figures in midrange etc but not wasting money this time as I have dyno'd a GS1200 before which proved my claim.
Interesting feature that BMW have built into the new GSA, the traction control makes the bike sound like a moto gp bike (ish), when fully on the gas on a ribbed road surface. The bike hopps over the little bumps and regains grip only to lose it again and again if throttle kept pinned. This results in spluttering and misfiring noises like Valentino getting the gas on out of a bend. Awesome sound. Try it if you have changed your end can etc otherwise just get a lurching feeling.
and phutt phutt noise.
So to change the end can would just be for looks alone. But that Remus Hexacone in Titanium calls me.
