erm...
I am considering a Remus Hexacone for my LC. Do the Vario panniers go on after installing the Remus slip on?

Also how is the sound? Is it too loud? I don't want it too loud to ring in my ears ; )

My first bike above i fitted the Remus and it was loud even with the baffle in, i wear ear plugs and after awhile the sound used to do my head in especially when touring so i replaced it with the akro .

I bought this exhaust and don't find it intrusive at all, sounds lovely.

Im not a fan of loud exhausts, was bought for looks rather than being loud, its not disappointed me.

My riding buddy has the akro on his bike I would say its louder, still not too loud with baffle in.

Panniers fit not affected.

I also have the remus hexacone without the baffle.

no issues with sound even when droning along the motorways.

at full tilt there is a lovely bark , esp when the GSAP intervenes during upshifts.

well recommended compared to the ubiquitous akra

Its also much lighter compared to the stock or even the Akra I suppose?

Is the baffle easily removable whenever one wants to?

Does the Remus make the GSW more thirsty?

I much prefer the Remus over the Ackra. Not too loud and shouldn't make any difference to your MPG. (If you change yer headers and de-cat them you'll probably get better MPG ...).
