Remus link pipe/cans - interchangeable?

I have a 1999 1100GS and my Dad has an unused Remus can for his 1150. Does anyone know if the Remus link pipe for the 1100 will match up easily with the 1150 can? According to Performance Parts, the two cans have two difference part numbers, but that's all the information I can get.

The 1100 link pipe and the 1150 can are not compatible with each other.

Bugger. That's a shame they won't bolt straight to each other. I reckon I'll get the link pipe anyway and get a mate to get the two to fit. Hopefully.
