Got my new Adv. This time I want the Remus can to hang square - not at 'five two'. Spoken to Performance Parts @ Rugby, the distributers & got two more hanger brackets. The one with the rubber insert kicks it out further to 'ten two'. The other bracket is flat, no rubber insert. Is this the one & do you have to shorten the mounting setscrew?

If none of you guys can help - you'll know who I am...I'm the bloke with the skew exhaust.

Cheers

Had almost the reverse problem with mine - it touches the pannier mounting point and has rubbed a hole in the can. Spoke to Performance Parts (went there, in fact) and relieved them of two alternative brackets to no avail. I suspect, after taking some measurements, that it has more to do with an inaccuracy in the Y-piece which pulls the can out of line. (And yes, before anyone asks, I took it off and tried every which way to realign the thing!)

For the record, mine has the bushed bracket + a spacer to try and give some extra clearance.

P.S. Just been out to the garage to have a shufty - yes, I think you would need a shorter mounting bolt for the unbushed bracket.

The flat bracket is for the early (upto 1999 or 2000 bikes ) I don't know how it will do on a later model but My can was originally delivered with the one with the inserts and it fouled on the rear peg mounting nuts the flat on does not.
