Sorry for the numpty question. I am fitting a Remus Revolution Titanium can to the existing Remus headers. The mounting bracket has a rubber insert into which you fit the bolt (which has a collar) and a tubular steel spacer.

The combination of the collar on the bolt and the spacer is actually longer than the depth of the fixing on the exhaust bracket.

The exhaust is securely attached but effectively the exhaust bracket is not clamped between the bolt head and the sub-frame. It can in theory move from side to side along the length of the bolt/spacer (perhaps 5mm)

I haven't explained that very well and don't have a camera at hand at the mo.

Am I doing something stupid or have others had this "problem" ? I'm tempted to lop a bit off the length of the spacer so the bolt can actually grip the bracket against the exhaust mounting bolt on the sub-frame.

If i understand properly the exhaust cant get off past the collar but could move sideways a bit - thats what mines like

this is the correct fitment as the exhaust is rubber mounted to stop vibes coming through and also to allow for expansion of the pipe
