When i bought my 2019 RT1250 a year ago, it cost me £120 fully comp with 0 NCD.
I get my renewal today and there asking £480 for the next year. That a 300% rise.
I went online and got quotes but using the 11 years NCD i had on my hayabusa policy (now sold)
I did not go for the cheapest quote, but added extras which added £70 to the price.
So i just paid £250 Fully Comp, 5999 miles, and all there extra covers added to.
That is still nearly half of my renewal price. And its still with Aviva, just used another broker.

These insurance brokers dont help themselves with trying to keep existing customers.

My Cars and home are with Axa, who i've been with for many years. I did have my bikes with them until they stop doing motorcycle insurance in the UK for some reason.

Every time it’s the same solution…. Shop around. There are no prizes for making a bit of effort, other than saving money.

Just reinsured my Ranger. Admiral who I was with wanted well over £700!!! I have gone with Swinton who want just over £400. There is absolutely no reward for loyalty. Very strange how Admiral could reduce their initial price as soon as told them I wasn’t renewing with them. I don’t know how much they were prepared to reduce by but if they can reduce it after being told I wasn’t renewing then they could have reduced it before. Cheeky, robbing bastards.

It’s an utter ballache shopping around, it takes feckin ages, you have to answer the same bloody questions over and over again, and you might not make any saving at all.

But if you could earn £250 per hour any other (legal) way…
