I've had the usual fair share of issues with my XT on this last trip despite spending time plotting all the routes and tracks in advance (and following the advice).
This earned the Zumo a well deserved flight across the road during one of my outbursts of anger
It survived unscathed.
It works but I find it overall unreliable... funnily enough in A to B navigation mostly.
Now, my question is... I discussed the option to move towards a Montana in some other threads previously.
I do regularly use a 64s on another bike. I know overall the Zumo and "standard" Garmin receivers behave differently.
So far I decided against the Montana because it lacks some integrations (intercom/live traffic/live search) that I find useful on the Zumo... but I'm considering compromising if it means a more reliable device.
Is there anywhere that rents out Garmin gear?
Thinking about renting a Montana 700/i for a couple of weeks and see how I find it before committing to shell out to buy one.
