Has anyone got any experience of the Pipecraft replacement exhaust pipes? I am looking to fit an after market system and am exploring different avenues.
I've seen this Pipecraft business on the fleabay.:augie

Any advice / experience appreciated.

Is it worth the expense of changing from the standard at all??:nenau

I've no idea about pipecraft stuff but your question re changing the headers at all is a resounding yes...
I changed mine for Remus ones and the difference is very pronounced...
much more urgent and livley and much less of a flat spot in the mid range..
worth every penny !:)

Any idea if the Pipecraft headers fit with SW Motech bars?

I fully agree with Funners :thumb
I put a set of Remus front pipes on my old 1200 and they really did make a (positive) difference. I later added a Remus silencer but that didn't improve things much at all... it seems to me that it's the removal of the cat that brings about the most significant change.
I don't think I've seen these pipes on eBay and can't seem to find anything at the moment... have you got a link/item number etc?
What sort of price are we talking about?

Yep, :thumb I have a set of each on mine. Great increase in midrange (and noise :augie)

Cheers Blobbs, the deal is done, just got to wait for postie to arrive with me new toy :)

Thanks for the posts folks.

TonyB - let us know how you get on and what your opinion is on the pipes.

(Not that it's a "let someone else try 'em first jobbie!!)

I have the pipecraft headers and they are very good - seem to give a good lift in midrange as well as making the bike sound more "throaty" without being too loud. They fit OK with Motech crash bars but the bars have to be removed to get ythe old downpipes off.

Got them in the post this morning, nice piece of kit. Took me about an hour to fit due to engine bar removal, then went for a ride WOW! :D

Well worth £160 in my opinion.

Hi, Would these fit 2008 GS1200?

Seem to be great value for the money!!

Good news mate. Any chance of a pic of them fitted with the SW Motech bars?
