I went into my garage on Wednesday for the first time since returning home from a long trip abroad.

I found that an old Sony cassette deck had contrived to fall from a shelf and wedge itself between my bike's petrol tank and the garage wall.

Of course, my kids deny any knowledge of the event!

However, the tank is not dented, but does have a 5" gouge through the top laquer and top paint coat.

The tank is the blue/white one and of cousre the scratch manages to mark both colours.

Question is, where would be the best place to send it for repair?

Through my local delaer (SPC)? Direct to Dream Machine? Any other repairer that anyone can recommend to do a first class job?

Another option would be to leave it & then buy my blue & white 22ltr tank when it becomes available in late February....

Mines not perfect, has some faint scratches in the lacquer from gravel or similar that cot caught up under the tank bag.

Get Muppet to repair it, he's a bike medic and his workshop is just outside Romsey.

He's a member of the ite here and has done a couple of bikes for me to a fine standard.

Thanks for that Patch.;)

Droopy, PM me your address and phone number and I'll arrange to come and have a look at it for you and give you a price for repairing it.
