Repairing textile trousers

You can always tell everyone that the repair was done due to the high speed off that you had.

OK, I know it's been a long time, but I've finally had my Streetguard trousers repaired by the fine folks at Schöffel. I needed the waistband zip that connects the trousers to the jacket replaced, so I reasoned that getting the manufacturers to do the repair would be safer than entrusting it to someone local and ending up with leaky trouser syndrome

The cost of the repair itself was relatively cheap (for the amount of work involved) at €42, but with carriage charges both ways and the £20 that my bank charged me ( ) to make a SWIFT transfer, the whole deal came out nearer £80. Still cheaper than a replacement pair of trousers though.

BTW, Lodenfrey (the contact given me by BMW UK) only repair leather clothing; all the textile stuff is repaired by Schöffel.

I would post a piccy but there's really nothing to see because the repair is completely undetectable. I don't know how they did it, but there's absolutely no evidence that anything has been done to them other than the fact that the waistband zip is obviously new

As good as their word Schoffel have sent me the swatches of material, they arrived yesterday. They have sent me three pieces, a grey, black and blue and each piece is about the size of 4 pieces of A4 paper!

My Lord, you wouldn't by chance still have some of the black swatch would you?
I have a burn hole in the arm of my twat jacket I need to get patched.

Anon, I certainly have, I have two rectangular pieces; one is about 2'x1' and the other is smaller at about 10"x5".

Let me know how much you need and I'll send you a piece; all FOC as I've been the recipient of similar generosity on the forum - just buy me a beer should we ever meet at a Tossers weekend.
