I replaced my battery earlier today (1150GS). I did however connect the negative terminal first and while I was tightening the positive my spanner touch the engine block and there was a short
. I checked all the fuses and everything looked OK. The bike started first time. All the lights, horn, heated grips, abs, alarm were working OK. I rode up to my local garage to fill up with petrol and after riding away the bike cut out and would not restart.
Luckily the way back to work was downhill so I am now in a brightly lit workshop.
The engine turns over with vavavoom (Thanks to new battery) but does not run. I rechecked the fuses. I lifted the tank to see if I cut-off any fuel lines, all lights ect still work. When changing the battery I did not disconnected any fuel lines, I sat the tank on its right hand side. The bike is producing a spark.
Any ideas
