I need a full complement of discs to get through my MOT (they are thin).

There seems to be some alternatives besides the BMW ones. Demon Tweeks have 2 kinds of Brembo and Grimeca. James Sherlock has Hekkane and Steptoe sells (rear only?) discs. There are also EBC discs but I have not heard anything good about them.

The Hekkane discs are about 40% cheaper than the other brands.

I have managed 30000 miles on the original BMW disks (the back is very worn at about 2.6mm) so long lasting would be ideal.

What do people recommend?

Thanks

Alex

Sherlocks are a reliable supplier and I would be happy to buy front discs from them if required.

I've got a set of EBC discs and pads for the front, maybe the rear too, that I no longer need, as I got shot of the GS before fitting them.

I would certainly be happy to sell them on at a bargain price.

I live in Harrow but work in Canary Wharf. Quite heavy to post?

Let me know if you're interested and I will a) Dig out exactly what I have in the garage and b) Give you an idea of price so we can start negotiations.

got a rear from James Sherlock (hekkane), easy job and has been fine since, previous disc warped by sticking caliper, needs a strip down yearly IMO

PFM do top quality gear and have a 1200GS front in the range, this kit is as good as anything out there and at reasonable money.
