Replacement key fob ?

Had a couple of key fob warnings on the ride home today,

Key fob is in the clear pocket of the rallaye jacket , so not unduly far from the reciever


Battery was changed a few months ago to a new Duracell, So, i'm doubtfull its that, but i'll change the battery JIC

If it is the fob, does a new one need coding / key cutting, or is it just a fob and i swap the guts etc

How the battery on the bike?

If the battery on the bike is low, same problem.

change the key fob battery again,same thing happened to me,new battery then couple of months later warning on again,changed battery again and been ok for ages now.

Try non Duracell . Check the voltage , they go off . If new fob you have to hold it under the rear Midgard to pair it

Yes it is a DC - i'll order some varta or similar

Slightly off piste but as a new owner of a 2021 GSA TE and a past owner of a 2018 GTL I find that the range of the GSA keyfob is very limiting. I keep the key in my breast pocket and 50% or more of the time the key is not recognised. Suggestions?

I suspect that there are duff/fake batteries being sold through the likes of ebay and Amazon. Make sure you buy from a trusted source.

Yes, like your local corner shop who bought a load from ebay last year.

I keep my key in my left trouser pocket.
As mentioned above.

Lots of bad batteries out there.

I kept getting low battery warnings regardless of which battery, took it to BMW today for 18,000 mile service, told them about the problem, they changed the battery, which they charged me for, collected the bike, warning on dash 50% battery, back into dealer, oh ok we'll order a new fob.....
