Hi all.
I recently replaced my paralever bearingsanf upkn removing the fd it just slid out slowly. However when I put it back together I popped the pinion driver out of the fd like the guide suggests and then greased the splines and inserted into the drive shaft correctly phased.
What I didn't do at this point was give the end of the pinion drive a tap back in. I did make sure it was pushed all the way up. I then re fitted the fd which was slightly tricky for a first timer but managed it ok.
It all lined up with no issues with the para lever pivot bolts and rides fine. Should I have given the end of the pinion a whack back in?
How does the pinion lock back into the fd?
Not fancying having to take it all apart again!!!
Help appreciated thanks.
