I fancy giving this a go having watched one video.
What available oil to use here in the U.K.?

The video I saw only topped up the reservoir having pushed down the plunger. Is that all that can be done?

There may be a better video on YouTube but as yet to find it.

Why would you wish to do so?
Quoting the hoary old merkin saying: If it ain't broke, doin't fix it.

Hi guys
First of all oil change will not fix broken preload adjuster...
What may look like an easy job it's not! Without vacuum bleeding/filling the adjuster it's almost impossible to get all the air out.
That will reduce the range of adjustment.

If you still want to give it a go any hydraulic oil will be fine you can use any suspension oil or mineral hydraulic fluid LHM plus it will work just fine. Just.
To make things a bit more colourful this is the inside of the Ohlins 1150GS preload adjuster.
