So here's part of the wiring I removed when I refurbed the bike during lockdown.
From R to L ...
An earth connected iirc to the frame under the coil unit.
4 way connector takes the power to the grips.
3 way connector connects to the 3 way power switch on the bars.
Last two on the left? Buggered if I know/can remember (it was 3 years ago!) how these two fit in although they (or one of them at least) must connect to a power source via the ignition or the fuses?
Things is, there's no matching connectors on the loom.
From memory, top left (with the '2' label), is the power connection into the loom. You will have a matching connector - it's already being used for something. That's where the next plug comes in; plug the existing load into that (cunning) then you have the rest sorted.
Go for Oxford, I have had numerous BMW bikes inc 4 from new and their grips are to be honest rubbish, when I put grips on my current 1150 I did not even think about using OEM BMW ones

Bingo! Many thanks. The power for the grips piggy backs off the wiring for the front brake light. As in the pic above. Thinking about it now, I labelled it with a matching 2 when stripping the harness but must have removed the label when doing the rebuild and decided against fitting the heated grip harness at that stage!
