Request: Side Stand Footprint Images

Hi all

can anyone post some images of what the up to 2005 and from 2006 side stand feet looked like

I have a horrible suspicion that because I have the low suspension option on my 08 it is actually not either of them - which screws up the option to get an enlarged footprint from Wunderlick, TT et al.

Reason for request is that Wunderlich enlargers seem to look like:

It looks like neither will fit on my lowered suspension 08 GS as it looks like:

Because of this suspect the TT ones won't fit correctly either, although it is more difficult to see exactly how the TT versions fit over the foot on their website.

Sorry, don't have an answer for your question but as you have a lowered 08 could you tell me if the handling dynamics are affected? I would like a lower GSA but not sure if the handling would be comprised by changing the angle at which the bike sits at and which it was designed for.

Slightly more on the track of your question...I have a nippy norman side stand adaptor on my 05 1200gs and it is fine unless you need to park on a slight adverse camber then the bike is a little too upright - but better than when it tries to pivot over the stand and fall when its fully loaded without the adaptor on!

I only picked up the lowered GS on Friday and as I have been on call/working I haven't ridden it enough to comment too much on handling. I have ridden the 04-07 and 08 models with the low seat fitted a couple of times and my initial thoughts are that whatever they have done to lower the suspension has not affected handling too much although it will be difficult for me to do a back-to-back test. Handles much better than the R1100S that I sold, but that might partly be the wider bars and altered seating stance affecting my perception.

Will have to comment more when I have some miles on it.

PS. Obviously for the BOAT users amongst us the ground clearance is affected.
