Reshaping helmet polystyrene

Hi,

Just fitting an Autocm headset to my new Caberg Hyper X. Can anyone tell me what is the best way to reshape the polystyrene padding under the lining? The helmet is designed to take much smaller speakers and fitting the Autocom speakers puts too much pressure on the ears.

use your thumbs, or failing that a heated teaspoon

remember though that the styrene is there to protect your head

I used the end of a wooden spoon and some pressure to make the cavity slightly larger.

I pressed mine down with my fingers/thumbs. Do it bit by bit, cos you can't unpress it. I suppose it does reduce the protection a bit, but then again a helmet which doesn't fit right in the first place is probably going to be more dangerous.
