My GS1300Trophy didn't come with heated seats but had the high comfort seat which was to tall for me. I fitted the standard seat which works great ... I thought I might as well buy the heated version. Does anyone know if it's easy to wire up? Bahnstormer had no idea yesterday? Do I need the pilion one with the switch on it for both to work?

You don't need the pillion one for the riders heated seat to work but you do need the bike to have the wiring for the riders seat obviously. Think I read it was fitted to all bikes whether the heated seat was selected or not but not sure myself. Also do you have the option in the hamburger button menu for heated seat ?. It should appear with the heated handlebar grips menu if it's there. I suspect if your original high riders seat wasn't heated that the option won't be there??.
If it's not there you'd need a friendly BMW dealer to ask BMW if it can be activated afterwards. There may be a charge to activate in the software too??.
Have you still got the high seat?.

Thanks for the reply PB. that’s what I had read too … that the wiring should be there. No option from hamburger but agree it must be just a software add on? Still have the high seat, yes.

Hi, I might be interested in the high seat if you did want to sell it. I am waiting for Wunderlich to do their version but it's not expected until Sept .
If you did want to sell it how much would want for it? .

Probably fairest to put it on eBay & then it would find it's own value. I' probably wouldn't be willing to pay what it's worth as I'm hoping to get a Wunderlich one when they are available in Sept. I'd only be thinking of about £120 when it's not heated.

Hi PB .. fair enough … understand.

Any update on whether anyone has managed to code in their heated seats?

Col

I’m in the same boat my high seat has the wiring from the seat and into the loom, but no info in the dash, I have spoken to two separate dealers and none of them has heard of dealers being able to code them, one sales guy said that sounds more like KTM Han BMW, so I will be interested to hear of any developments
