first off can i say sorry sid, its taken far longer than i ever thought with one thing or another.
anyway following issues in getting the original paint then having to source another type (only the best most expensive custom paint on the market, House of color from the good ol US of A) and the finding out to do the job right it all has to be shot at the same time so's you get the colour match right i had to find a suitable paint booth, big enough to get it all in. Got that sorted only to find i'd have to fabricate some stands to hold it all while painting:blast out with the welder and the use of my local smithy hey presto stands done. all the parts were then rubbed down and any gouges, dinks etc were filled and primed for painting. Then it was a sit around and wait until a suitable timeslot arrived that would allow upto 10 coats of primer, paaint and laquer to be added.
anyway the time slot arrived and we got underway and here's the first picks of the parts so far. all the other bits are just waiting for the last coat of shiny clear to go on. So Mr and Mrs Sid her you go, hope the colour is to your liking.

Wow!

That looks fantastic.:)

Pink Lady is outside in the stables at the moment as one of her horses has just come home after being out on loan for the last six months when she couldn't ride due to bad back.

She's just come back in and is now looking over my shoulder as I type this.

She says that she's changed her mind and can she have it in blue?

Well in certain light it has a blue tinge.
I have to say it is a stunning colour with a real nice shimmer to it. We decided just to leave it as is is because trying to ghost anything on top would just look wrong because the paint has a very strong pearl effect and any other pearl would clash. The important question is does the boss like it.

This one was posted on Advrider a couple of years ago, one of the guys Wife and her bike. I think the bike looks great in pink with the silver frame.

Only joking about the blue.:)

It looks fantastic and she is very very pleased and happy. She wants me to stop playing with the enduro bikes and get her bike finished off. I'm trying to sort out the new wiring loom but electrics is not my strong point.

Are their any experts on here at rewiring Airheads? If so, does anyone fancy a free holiday down in sunny Devon to help me get this all back together for her?

what sort of bmw classic is the pink body kit going on to?
as it going to look cool

Buggger

That looks like the same pink. And I was hoping this was going to be the only pink bmw out there. I do recon lots of nice gloss black will set the bike off better than silver.

Sounds good if we have someone with some electrical knowledge coming? I was hoping to get it done before the weekend if possible but that is Plan B if I am still staring blankly at wiring diagrams.

I think I have every single part I need to complete the entire job so there's no reason why it couldn't be completed at The Wee-kend.

James Sherlock will be supporting us again this year so if we need anything over the Wee-kend, he will be able to help us out.
