After sadly realising my 1150GSA is just too cumbersome for my busted body... :(
Originally I was keen on another X country but the sub 100 fuel range stopped me, so another 650GS twin was my choice.
Found just what I was looking for at Cotswold BMW 2011 16k miles in great condition and with a bit of haggling at the price I wanted to pay...

It's the low height version, which I never thought off or tried b4, much better getting me leg over
" uw r mister " :D
Managed to find an eBay bargain standard height seat which should be here Monday, that way I get the distance I want from seat to footpegs ( less leg bending ) without the rear height of a standard F650GS twin... ....

Good one Ash :thumb

Mind you, an X-tank on an X-country solves the problem :D

I'm also returning to the fold after four years, I moved on to the R1200GS for two years and then to the 1200LC. I have always missed the power delivery of the 800 and not having to change gear so often, the LC needs a change of gear for every bend and hill unless you keep the revs up above 4000, not a natural pace to ride at for a gentle day out in the Dales.
I'm expecting to take delivery of my White with Red framed Rally in April. While at my local dealers I noticed there were no F models at all amongst the dozens of New GS1200 and 1000XR bikes waiting to be collected, also no new F bikes on display. Almost the forgotten model in the BMW range.

Full stand fitted... :thumb

Ash, is the stand specific to the 'low F650GS' and was it a BMW item ?

ps - If you're considering a fat-foot, be aware that the 'low' bike has a different shaped foot to the normal F650.

I got this one for £60 & is for a standard F650GS not the lower version like mine & Jaqs.
A mate is going to lower it for me..

The do a low stand -

My 60 knicker bargain ( brand new ) is better than paying €145 & iz usable just a tad high at the back end...

Feck!!! just bought a used 650-800 fat foot, never thought to look.... Feck Feck Feck.....

While you are at it, grease the bolts that hold that chain guard on. Bloody things love to seize.

Congrats !!

I know it's not an insanely rapid bike, but are you really going to have time to use that Etch-A-Sketch ?????
