hiya all, looking at getting a new set of jacket and trousers, ive been looking at the rev it defender and also the klim latitude, now I tried on a rev it Everest a good while back and I remember the bird in the shop saying the sizes on rev it gear are a bit strange and now what you expect them to be, and I vaguely remember the jacket being something like a large, when normally I would be something like a small or a medium:blast, can anyone confirm this about the sizes being odd???

also the klim gear, how does that come up in sizes, being an American brand aswell????

the reason I ask about sizes is, in order for me to try on either brand ive gotta travel, and the stockists don't carry all the sizes, some have got the jackets in the right size but not the trousers and vice a versa:blast, so at the minute im trying to work out which end of the country to go to:blast

if anyone can shed any light on the sizes and fits of the above then, muchly appreciated:thumby:

and im, 5'8", with roughly a 30" waist(yeah I know not your average tosser size:D) and roughly a 40" chest

cheers, andy

If it helps
i am 5'8" too but with a more tosser like 34 " waist and a 44" chest
i have the Klim Badlands and need the large size !!

ye that helps a bit mate, coz taking that into consideration and looking at the klim sizing charts, it probably means id be a medium in the jacket:thumby:

You got the rev it defender by any chance??? Ifso howd you rate it??? Howd you get on with the seperate waterproof liners?? I used to find the liners on my rally suit a right pain in the arse, mainly at the cuffs and ankles, they were just too long, every time you put eithe jacket or trousers on you wou would end up having to poke em back in!!

I'm similar sized to you, 32" waist though (middle age spread! :D) and my Klim Badlands is a medium.

No, mine is a Cayenne. The liners fit fine. I like it because the cut is good and it fits well. It is well made for the price. I've used it in Morocco and The arctic and it worked well.
