Had mine for 8 months now. Thought that I should give it it's first wash.

Removed the armour to find that one of the elbow/forearm protectors had split in half where the elbow protector connects to the forearm protector.

Might pay to check if you have Rev'it Cayenne Pro gear. I wasn't aware it was split until I removed it.

Thanks for info just bought Cayenne Pro suit so i will keep checking, how do you find the suit having used it through winter months.
I have not seen rain yet but i am sure it wont be long before i do, going to Scotland in June so i hope the suit is the right choice. :mmmm

Ta for heads up.

Actually took armour out of mine a couple of weeks back to wash it and no probs.

Great kit, nice and warm when needed, but vents works great too when warm.

I've found the Cayene Pro suit to be excellent (except for the armour problem-although when I showed the problem to the Bike Stop they replaced all my armour with new stuff-great service). I used the suit all through winter and in the snow, 1 hour commute into London. I was impressed with how warm it is. Never got cold, only cold hands-will get some muffs for next winter. Somehow in all this time I've managed to dodge the rain and not really been in a real downpour. It's never leaked in the numerous showers. So I would recommend it, hopefully my armour problem is a one off, just keep an eye out for splitting around the elbow to forearm joint.

I've had mine for a year as well.

Found the waterproofing to be fine, no worries at all. The thermal lining is great, really warm. Build quality is good, the materials are top notch but a couple of the zips look a little lightweight. I've had no issues with it yet though and at half the price of a twat suit it's outstanding vfm.

My other worry is that the body armour seems a little 'lightweight'. I might check out some aftermarket stuff. Oh and there is no back ptotector as standard.

Mine came with a back protector-and for £10 they upgraded it to a Knox one

I recently bought a Rev-It leather/fabric suite. Very pleased with it, but as mentioned the armour, especially in the knees/shin is a bit small & thin. The armour in my twat suite is MUCH better.

Iv got the off track jacket, and dakar pants had them a year, and ride in all weathers to work, real good stuff my CCM has no weather protection at all and i stay as dry as a very dry thing. No probs with armour and has been washed many times.Top bit of kit worth the money....:Motomartin

I have just bought the Cayenne Pro and upgraded the back protector....the piece of flimsy foam they use is a disgrace and IMHO shouldn't ever be relied on.

Having said that I find the suit excellent, very well put together and comfortable, well worth the money. Not worn in the rain yet but surely it won't be long.

Off to The Pyrenees in July......might I be fortunate enough to not get wet?....who knows,

Ian

Funny I should happen across this thread today,The knee of my Rev'it Cayenne trousers felt a bit odd earlier today ,on investigation found the armour there had snapped in two! It's not had any abuse(undue folding or bending etc) so I can only assume it sustained damage before I bought it or the materials are not up to the job.
Not sure whether to take it back to the dealer or just take it on the chin and buy after market stuff of better quality.
I have had a couple of warranty issues with the cayenne gear,a leaky crotch in the trousers and frayed material around the pocket where the zip is sewn in both problems sorted promptly and without quibble. so no complaints about after sales care. There are a couple of wobbly design/quality details that need addressing, but I'm generally quite happy with the kit
