Just to say that after a long wait, I got a call from Motorbike Centre in Wymondham ( near Norwich), to say they have finally had there consignment of Rev'It clothing.

I went in today, and tried on the Cayenne Pro, and it seems as good as they say !:thumb
So, I bought one -(large size fits me- 42" chest ,) -didn't need the jumper I'd been wearing under my old HG Basic either..very snug, and although most of the rain had stopped on the way back, was dry and cosy - loadsa pockets, very adjustable, vent zips on sleeves, front flaps and rear vents for the hot days etc etc. Good price too- .Very helpful, and knowledgeable -can recommend them. :augie

I know it's been said before ...

... but the Halvarssons kit takes some beating, both on price and quality :thumb and I used a Rev'it jacket very happily before I got my (now discontinued) Amazon jacket :D

Looks good, especailly their trousers - do you know where their stock can be viewed in a 'proper' shop?

In London ...

... at Woodford Motorcycles, but elsewhere they seem to be a bit sparse. They do all the big bike shows but with a 'Not for sale' stand :nenau

There is a Halvarssons dealer in Stoke-on-Trent if you are ever winging it up the M6 past there ... about 3-4 miles off the motorway.

Always forget they do the kit and am surprised when I go in there ... picked up a nice set of Halvarssons gloves last time on special, nicely put together, great fit, waterproof/windproof ... just be nice if the linings were fully sewn in.

Full kit always looks impressive ... they had a safety suit on the peg last time from memory.

halvarssons

Got my Halvarssons kit from GLF accessories in Flitwick, Beds. Graham is a top chap with excellent sales advice and service. :thumb

will have covered 10k miles in my safety suit since getting it in January. I promised Graham that i would do a full review about it. Will post it here once i have finished it. Not told Graham so far, but it gets a glowing review so far!! I am well impressed with it, especially as it replaced my ageing Rukka RVP Pro!!

Hi GSArt - was it you I saw yesterday (Tues) afternoon, just near Duxford Museum - I only realised it might be you at the last minute -I did wave !!!

PS I also looked at the halvarssons, and was very close to buying, -the only thing I wasn't sure about was having to change the "outer skin" between a waterproof and a fully vented "mesh" outer. I just felt the Rev'It was , for me, a bit more flexible, and not quite as bulky-very nicely made and very good prices. I also went to Flitwick-Graham is a most helpful guy too :clap:clap:clap

Hi Roger!!!

if it was about 10 to 5 ish then yes that was me:) Easy to spot, Manderin GS with HID headlight and led lights in front and rear indicators.

Pleased you popped over to see Graham, he is a top chap, very knowledgeable!! I have to admit i did look at the Revitt Jackets, I met the rep last year and he showed me the early samples. Very nice!! :thumb2 What colour did you go for? I particularly liked the Grey/black colour, but it would not last long with the mileage i do.

cheers, Ian

ps, starter still going strong :beerjug:

I have a Rev'It Jacket - not sure which design off hand and I generally find it very good, although the press stud on the collar is not that strong so I have taken to wearing my neck gator/buff over the collar just to keep the collar closed.

Very good jacket otherwise just a minor flaw.

Hi Ian,
there wasn't a whole load of choice re colours, but I got the Cayenne Pro, black/grey, with a dash of red !! Wanted a dash of yellow, but sadly not poss.
I don't think the bike I saw was mandarin (yellow that is ?), so not you -it looked kitted out though, but only saw it briefly -too busy watching the road.:rob
