Posting for my life long cyclist bro in law.

For sale.

Originally put together for road bike category time trialling in Cycling Time Trials (CTT) events. It featured in Cycling Weekly 6 June 2024. Not ridden at all in 2025. Ridden once this year, after which I changed the stem setup to raise the bars and fitted a longer cage Dura Ace rear derailleur, a rear derailleur extender hanger, a new chain and an 11-32 cassette to lower the gearing. I no longer race so the bike is now surplus to requirements. Very light usage.

The frame and fork were sand blasted and powder coated in red by a local firm. Stickers were sourced via eBay. I’ve included screenshots from the original listing for further info.

Chainset - SunRace FCR96 9-speed, 170mm, fitted with new 50/34 Stronglight Dural 5083 alloy chainrings (original were heavy steel).
Bottom bracket - SunRace BBS18, sealed.
Rear derailleur - Shimano Dura
-Ace RD-7700 9-speed long cage.
Front derailleur - Shimano Dura-Ace FD-7800.
Chain - KMC X9 9-speed silver.
Cassette - SunRace CSM96 9-speed 11-32
Pedals - Shimano PD-A520 SPD, recently re-greased, recessed 2-bolt cleats).
Bars - Cinelli 64-40 Giro D’Italia, Sprint Bike Ribbon bar tape.
Stem setup - ZENITH Classic ahead stem 90mm Silver 26mm clamp, ZENITH A-Head stem shim, BBB steering tube extender 1 inch (BHP-20). PLEASE NOTE - If the buyer wants to change the stem set up to a traditional stem the bike also comes with two Cinelli 1a stems, one 90mm, one 80mm.
Brake levers - TRP RRL-A Brake Levers Silver/ Black.
Brakes - Shimano Dura-Ace 7400.
Seatpost - Alloy, twin bolt
Saddle - Charge Spoon.
Wheels - Mavic CXP Elite 32 on Shimano Tiagra RS400 quick release hubs. 100mm front, 130mm rear. 10/11 speed (but fitted with 9-speed cassette). 32 spokes, stainless steel, front and rear. Novatec silver skewers.
Tyres - Vittoria Open Corsa G2.0 Folding 23c, black with tan sidewalls.
Bottle cages - Blackburn alloy, silver.
Computer - Garmin Edge 25 with white silicone case.
Topeak Micro Rocket pump.
Various stickers, cable spares, other sundries and stand also included.

Down tube changers - brings back memories from the 70’s.

Out of interest, size says 51cm. Not sure if it translates to modern sizing numbers, but what height person would this suit?

My everyday rider was a Ribble when I used to compete. Lovely bikes.
I’m 6’ tall with a 32” leg & I rode a 56cm c-c frame.

Bikes today are sized differently because they have sloping top tubes.

“ Im about 5’ 8”. In its current setup it’s ok for me but is really meant for someone between 5’ 4” and 5’ 7”. In reality, it’s too small for me, that’s why I had to add the steering tube extender and stem with the 7 degree rise. There’s two normal stems with it to put it back to a normal set up. Cheers”
