RID went blank

Riding home this morning from work i noticed that the oil pressure side of the RID all the bars had dissapeared? i had been riding for about half hour and had been showing 4 or 5 bars prior.
I then came to a junction, and 2 bars appeared then disapeared??
When i got home a couple of mins later all was back to normal, how strange, any ideas?

If it's just the oil pressure part of the display you either have a oil pressure sensor that's failing or more likely there's corrosion in one of the connectors in the harness between the sensor and the RID

You have got oil in your bike haven't you?

Stop dont use your bike its run out of pressure its going to seize !!!
Well its what I thought when it happened to me on the motorway, pulled over right away, had a look and thought bugger me there is oil in there, turns out it happens every time there is really really really torrential rain, the sort you cant see through, and then it just clears and works fine, I have put it down to the quirk of the bike and stopped worrying (although I do check the oil quite regular)

oil temp on my model
