I decided to treat myself to fish and chips for lunch. Not fancying a ride to the coast on a sunny school holiday Saturday, I headed the long way to Leintwardine to try the award winning chippie. Very little traffic on the route I chose, over the Kerry Ridge, along the River Teme Vallley and back across the Shrophire Hills into the Severn Valley

Chip shop: it was good, but still not better than my favourite in Aberdyfi. Small portion of haddock and chips for £7 so similar to the other one. Cooked fresh, nothing apart from some sausages kept in the hot cabinet. You can order in advance. Lovely picnic area across the road next to the River Teme bridge.
