Ride in/ride out tyre fitting in Wirral area.

Today I have had a discussion with the guys at Maple Tyre and Exhaust in Ellesmere Port as they are keen to set up and operate a ride in/ride out motorcycle tyre bay.
They have all the hardware installed to enable the removal of the wheels from the array of bikes.
The company have not yet advertised the service but have asked about what tyres to stock.
Roughly speaking for a larger GS I have said TKC80, Tourances and Anakees, with some more specialised rubbers needed to be pre-ordered.
Maple are part of the Protyre Group, www.protyre.co.uk, so they are able to supply competitive prices.
Their nearest competitor is Buckley Tyres so pricing will be on par if not better so if you have a quote from Buckley Tyres give Maple a call and see if they can beat it.

Good shout Timpo but I`d never let ANYONE remove or refit my wheels.

Tyre changing, fair enough....so I may compare their prices against my old favourites Frank Bather on the A41 near Cammel Lairds next time I want some more mainstream tyres (such as on my GL1100 or my Triumph Scrambler) as opposed to the tall profile 'old timer' tyres I get via Tinternet for my Urals or the Enfield.

Don`t forget SRT have always been quite competitive with tyre prices...and fitting,too.

thanks for that - I may need new rubber before I go away as I have done nearly 5k on these PR2's
