Myself and wife Carol decided to try and take some of the trip in that Tolski had already posted at the weekend. Started off at A+D at Denbigh then down to Lake Brenig. Went round the south side which is more of a dirt track. Came to 2 gates which were locked so had to do a bit of off roading to bypass them.

From ther down to Bala and took the south road round the lake and then turned off up the valley to the pass of cross.

From there onto lake Vyrnwy were we stopped for a brew.
Cut across to Oswestry then then to Whitchurch and up the A41 to Broxton Cafe for another brew and a pee.
Had a fantastic day and would just like to say a thankyou to Tolski for the initial idea. :clap

first of all I continued and I even reached Barmouth and..

due to shouts from my parents who are visiting me...I went with a car...bliahhhh...bliahhhhh

:blast:blast

but definitely I will do it again with my GSA...:augie

Did the route with Tolski + Tolski's brother on Sunday and it was a really great day out, all uneventful as we like it. Superb route and all recorded on the Garmin Quest...I'll no doubt be repeating a number of times. Thanks again, Andrew!

I'm becoming kinda possessive about this route & I have of course got the copyright, own all the land & have set up toll booths :augie but if you pm me your email & grovel a bit I'll send you the file :D

BTW Although I said last Sunday was the final time I'd do this route I may be persuaded to do it this weekend one last time. If anyone's interested let me know.

Excellent photos Roy, conditions were near perfect, not such a good forcast this weekend though. I'm sure we must have seen/waved at you, I wave at anyone.....even scooters (such a slag :D)

Thanks Tolski. Excellent route. Will deffo be doing it again but next time taking in the waterfalls at Pistyll Rhaedre.
There were plenty of GS bikes on route so may have passed at some time.
Would like to do it again this weekend but duty calls and am working. :blast
Once again: :bow :bow :beerjug:

Shortage of time meant I couldn't manage "The Full Tolski" yesterday but I combined a bit of it with some very familiar roads for an 80 mile trip from the Ponderosa to the Cafe by the park in Ruthin. Many variations possible on this, of course, but a nice trip if you're reasonably local and only have half a day. Probably not much new here but I have just realised how to upload a gdb so here goes...
