Myself and two of the guys have just come back from the ride magazine eight day tour to the Pyrenees. What a wonderful planned route they have created. If all the other routes in that magazine are like this then it will be a great asset for motorcyclist like ourselves. As advised in the magazine we took the return ferry to Santander which works out cheaper and less hassle than riding to the start.
The routes range from beautiful coastal roads, to long sweeping B class cross country routes and then mile after mile of mountain Twisties.
Thanks again ride magazine

Sounds good, not for me though.
I always get huge pleasure from planning a trip like that and with online maps, hotel bookings online etc etc, it's a doddle compared to 20-30 yrs ago

I was thinking of doing that one next summer - good to know that someone has tested it, thanks.

Thank you Byron - we don't get that much feedback on the tours so it's good to hear that you enjoyed it. Send a few pics in to the mag - we'll try to get one in the "Your Rides" section.

Did similar 'Ride Magazine' Routes in the Picos De Europa the same week as Byron and friends did their tour. (met the guys on the boat, great people)
I would like to 2nd the quality of the Ride Magazine Routes, obviously a lot of work went in to producing them.
Well done Ride Magazine................Brilliant !:clap
Regards,
John

Praise to Ride Magazine

I just wanted to add that you must have spent a lot of time planning the routes that "we and john" used and I will continue to sing your praises to everyone I meet who chats about touring . They are also great for the car and I used 2 near Lake Garda in July with my wife. She was screaming with delight on some of those mountain roads.
Thanks again Simon :clap

Thanks for highlighting the source. Just been on their site as I have a couple of days to get between Santander and Chaves and want to go via the Picos. Some excellent route options on there that I will chop and change.

Yes, the ride magazine routes are an amazing resource.
So many amazing routes.
I know some of them in England (South West) and Pyrenees (France and Spain).
They have really picked some fantastic routes.

Is it possible to import the rides onto the nav v?

Yes. They have GPS downloads.

Depending on what software you use to get it from your PC / Mac you might need to play around with it a bit. If you get stuck, try the GPS section. We'll sort you out.
