Just got the bike out of the garage and saw a nice rusty bit in the rear tyre. :(

Pulled out the tail of a pop rivet or similar about 20mm long. :( :(

In the block of the tread so hopefully not a punture thing but will have to montor it and check the pressure again before eaving. :( :(

If I'm not there that is/was why but I'll text Nadeem if its a puncture.....

B*ll*cks B*ll*cks B*ll*cks B*ll*cks B*ll*cks B*ll*cks B*ll*cks B*ll*cks

Sleet/freezing rain here at moment, but will be there unless I hear from Nadeem that it's called off. Good luck with the tyre Woodsie.

After The Event...

Hi

Good to meet a few more of you today, albeit briefly. Was a little fresh, wasn't it?

Seemed to get a little confused after Hythe. Took over the lead from Nick after a brief discussion, then everyone seemed to disappear (all apart from two - sorry, gents, can't recall your names). I know I'd said I'd be disappearing somewhere near Folkestone, so apologies if this contributed to any confusion.

Robin.

PS For those of you with telepathic powers, I take back all the horrible things I was thinking about you when I was standing in the car park at Charing, freezing my b******s off, waiting for you to turn up.

Likewise Gents, enjoyed it immensely :thumb Look forward to the next one. Now, gotta go and rinse the bike down, it's looking a bit worse for wear.

Nadeem, there seems to be some confusion on the ride-out today  Care to give some details here? I was planning on joining you guys today, but a night out last night and far too much grape juice decreed otherwise. :drinkinpa dance pize

Thanks Nick great route.

I had a really good day out. We must do it again.

Nice to meet all the old faces and some new chums as well.

Heres to the next one

Lol

Due to tyre problems.....

...had a late start and as it was the third garage that had a working air pump I was 10 minutes late at Eynesford.

Made my own way down to Rye and met Tim and we waited on the route but either you lot missed us or we missed you.

Tim went back to Eastbourne and I went across the marsh to Hythe, Folkestone and Dover but didn't run into the clique (but of course you could have seen me first   )

Rode back through the Ealham Valley and across to Chartham then the A20. 160 miles all in. Cold but thoroughly enjoyed myself and better than I hoped for as I left Maidstone it was sleeting.

Back home about 3.30 and washed the bike.

Next time I'll leave earlier and enjoy your company

Looking closely at this piccie, I am sure that is Tim's bike outside the cafe as it has the Gaucho leg cover on,

Onlyjust missed you then - or did you see us first??????????????????????

If you look at that photo Kev, it was just after you had left, you can see us just getting up after hiding behind that wall.

You are SO hurtful

Sorry we lost you Robin.

About half a dozen of us ended up on the M20 heading towards 'home'. Perhaps the thought of being warm again was too much a draw.

See you all again soon :thumb
