Sorry we lost you Robin.

About half a dozen of us ended up on the M20 heading towards 'home'. Perhaps the thought of being warm again was too much a draw.

See you all again soon :thumb

No problem. I was going to take you down the A20 towards Folkestone (a favourite short stretch of road) then up the aforementioned (but incorrectly spelt ;) ) Elham Valley to Canterbury, from where you could have decided how best to get back to wherever you all had to go. Elham Valley is definitely a GS type of road - fast enough to enjoy bombing along, nadgery enough to enjoy the handling. So I did it on my own anyway, and had a fine time. Next time you're down this way, I'll try to put together a route of my favourite roads.

Robin.

Tim and me had a good ride back apart from pigeon incident i dont know who came off worse tim or the pigeon . Good day out thanks Nick have to do another one soon .

Rob

Sorry i didn't make it - went to a Sam Manicom talk about his world trips, spent 3 hours talking and asking questions :thumb

I just read Sam's book, hughly recommended, and a genuinely nice bloke to boot, nice to meet someone who didn't know very much about bikes, but still had the balls to go off on a trip like his.

Looks like you lot had a good ride out.
Apologies for not turning out but at needed to get my decking finished.
Steve

Sorry to have missed it.
Although to be honest when I saw the sleet Sunday morning I wasn't too upset. As feared had too much to do in too little time - hopefully I'll make the next one.

Woodsie - wish I'd checked the posts Sunday morning - I've got an airline at home you could have used rather than trying to find a garage. :nenau

Looking at those pictures I'm guessing no one popped down the beach for a quick paddle?

Cheers Jim

Forgot to say 'thanks' to Nick for the route yesterday, my first ride out with the Kent group, and also on the GS. Started the day off a little bit nervous, big bike, little bloke :o and didn't want to make an idiot of myself. Turning bikes round in anything but a very wide circle is definately not my forte, when it's the size of the GS it's a major challenge. Once I'm up and running, confidence is fairly high, but walking pace is a different matter. Anyway, enjoyed the whole ride, especially those twisties out of Dymchurch :thumb

Thanks,

John

Better late than never...

Just a note to add my thanks and big :thumb for a great ride out. Enjoyed myself and it was good to meet all of you. As to the last bit, all I saw was the M20 and thought of home, warmth and nice sunday dinner. If that contributed to the confusion then sorry.
