On 25th August it'll be two years since our good friend, my husband and fellow member Bobble (Paul) died after his admiral battle against cancer. Another lovely kind and friendly soul taken far too early. Many of you will remember him having met him at various do's, others will remember him via his humorous posts and photography. Here are a couple of pictures of him riding Clarence, his beloved 1150 in Ford Mexico Orange with the huge Touratech tank :nenau (he should have just bought a KTM) :) and the other picture is of his Avatar, Boz the German Shepherd (who is still going strong aged 11 1/2). Many of our good friends and W-ton Advanced Motorcyclists get together once a year, for a fun charity ride into mid Wales and back to raise money for Compton Hospice, the hospice which cared for Paul during his final weeks. Well, for those of you who are local, you're more than welcome to join us for the day. We aim to split up into groups of up to 10 and ride at a decent enough pace, however probably not quite as 'spirited' as other group ride outs but certainly not a procession either. We are riding in memory of a true riding God after all so better keep the theme going :) have a look below and let me know if you want tickets as a limited number are available.

Regards, Jo

***Edit***
To make paying for your tickets easier I've started a 'just giving' page and for those too far away to make it, maybe you can make a small donation to an amazing charity? Thanks all in advance :)

Jo, I've moved this here to the West Mids section as I'm sure it will get a better response here :thumb2

Jo, count me in :) (may be on the Honda given the GSs woes, but 250cc should be enough to keep up with any IAM riders I have met before ;))

Have checked on calendar and I am working that weekend, unfortunately.
I will join the ride if I can get done early :thumb2

Excellent Rob, by the way you disappeared off into the night on Wednesday, two minutes in front of us and we never saw you again, you'll have no problem keeping up the pace. You might want to use an Airhawk on that narrow seat though - ouch!! ;)

That's a shame Darryl, maybe you can swap? Worst case scenario just join us back at the cafe as we'll be there until closing, having a good old blather :)

Thanks Moose, that's very generous :) shame you'll not make it again this year though (Bloody Work! gets in the way of everything!!) but it'll be great to see you over breakfast if you can come for that x

would love to attend Jo but won't have the bike back by then.
(i really could do with a second bike!)

Tony, you really do need a second bike!! You've got a couple of weeks to sort one out so get your finger out!! ;)

ok. boss will try harder, honest :D

i keep seeing bikes that i fancy but they are all either Scotland or feckin' Devon or something and i aint going to buy without trying first :blast

I may well be up for this. Sounds like a good ride and the start is close to Miss Alf's parents. I'll check over the weekend and confirm:thumby:
