Ride out on Sunday 8 May 2011 "Blue bells and little lambs"

Bring on 20 degrees in the rain !! rain can be adventerous too!! there will always be a time for dry rides. This is what makes riding bikes so much fun!

STEP OUT OF THE NORM AND LIVE !!

I looked up the heavens and said "Give us a good days weather tomorrow please guv'nor"

The reply was along the lines of "You'll get what's coming - like it or not"

Sorry mate, can't get there after all, decorator has come back today (should have finished yesterday) I am the only one here so have had to stay in. No internet last night or this moprning only just got it back (Bloody talk talk don't ever get invoved) had to get it sorted as Partner requires it for her business.
Sorry about not telling you earlier but have been stuck with no communications. Still Mr Gupta ha told me it won't happen again!.
It wont 'cos I'm off to find another provider.

Well thanks Woodsie, had a good time today. Sorry I couldn't perform the tail end duty all the way from Walmer to Whitstable Bert, I had to go and find those in the group that didn't grasp the dropoff system:augie

Look forward to the next one and it was nice to meet everyone.

Had a ball................

After a pretty wet and murky start to the day we started off on quickly drying roads and no rain throughout the the day.

Weather fantastic by the time we were at Walmer and a nice stop for a drink and a cake

7 bikes at the off:

Kevin & Terry

James & Alisa

and Wheeledwideweb +3 joined at Walmer:

Dave & Helen left up the A299 when we got there.

Steve turned off home at Herne Bay and the rest of us parked up in Whitstable and did our own thing after a bite to eat at a cafe on the qauy side

Thanks to Bert for keeping things tidy at the back and Wheeledwideweb for taking up the duties from Walmer (and for acting as sheep dog to gather strays!!)

All in all a good one - thanks for coming along for the ride:thumb2
 
Great ride!!

Thanks guys we had a really nice ride ! Woodsie great work with the weather and the single path rides were brilliant , some of the views, wow!

Thanks for another great ride out Kev.

Great to see some old faces and great to see some new.
I think we may need an easier ride out next time though, start at the same place about 2pm, ride up to the burger bar at Aylesford (Halfords) then back home.
Rory went straight to bed when we got back and is now fast asleep - oh to be seventeen again ! Bless.

Glad to hear a fun time was had by all....I did ask for some decent weather for you all, and looks as tho my prayers were answered, especially as I've been doing f@@king diy/gardening all day....:mad:

Still, onwards to the next one....any pics @ all??

thanks Kevin for all your time and effort in organizing another superb ride out, great company, great views and a great ride. Nice to meet Terry, all be it only briefly. Well done to the 2 tail end boys, I'm always willing to volunteer if needed in the future, but not too sure about herding the stragglers up!!! Well done Rory a very mature ride.
