After our enjoyable expedition into Wales last weekend we've decided to have another run out that way in September but this time a little further north.
Date/time: Sunday 16th September, meet at 08:45 for 09:00 departure.
Route: Kidderminster-Quatford Cafe (breakfast)-Ironbridge-Shrewsbury-Devils Bridge-Elan Valley-Ludlow-Ombersley (approx 200 miles).
Meeting point: Kidderminster - Esso garage, roundabout at junction of B1490 and A442
As before, all welcome but bimble mode will be the form. Speedheads need not apply :)

good to see someone trying to get some rides giing. How many going to Toads cotswolds do this weekend?
I will be up for a ride or two late September and into October.... Sure I can find some interesting days out in Welsh Wales......:D

Weather looking OK for this coming Sunday so fingers crossed for a great ride out. Have tweaked the route slightly so that we can ride over the Long Mynd at Church Stretton (stunning countryside and a nice road) instead of going through Shrewsbury. Ammended Garmin GPS file attached. Look forward to seeing anyone who can make it on Sunday morning.
Can't wait to give my new Michelin Anakee 2's a proper test.

Can you send me a pm if you do, im moving to mid/east wales soon so im up for that:thumb

Hi MB ... nice idea for a bimble :thumb - please put me down as a definite maybe.

I'm waiting to hear from others about a trip to the BMF and/or Oliver Mount races at Scarboro (which you're quite welcome to attend if you fancy BTW) so i'd best not commit completely.

If the Esso is where i think it is, the only way i've ever got there is by passing Quatt Cafe, so if your plan was to remain as is, i'd just meet you at the Cafe i suppose, coffee waiting.

Will let you know ASAP but if not this time, then certainly the next.

If your coming from Lichfield I can't see you coming through Bridgenorth to get to Kidderminster so I can only assume that you're referring to a different Esso garage.

Co-ordinates of the Esso garage forecourt are: 52.399999,-2.270179

If you are looking for us at Quatford, I'll be on a silver BMW F650GS and if Dan from Lutterworth can make it he's on a yellow BMW F650GS (hoping there'll be at least two of us). Look forward to seeing you.

OK, I'll see how the times work out.

Getting to Kiddy for me otherwise involves a trek through Brum y'see. I'll be on a '12 GS Rallye

Its a bit late, but may tag on if in time, as just logged on, and was going to see how a new screen works. I'm on Grey 09 F800GS with Red and black Sticker.

Fun day out. Good turnout, six bikes in all (all BMs). Shame about the rain but can't have everything. Photos and video links below:

Yep, 11.15 ish, I was at the Cafe in Craven Arms, then went up over Mynd. I recognise the first photo - top car park. I'm a newbie GS'er, just joined the forum, I'd have stopped for a chat, and a ride together had I have known :blast
