First one of the year.

Get to Eynsford for 09.00 to start at 09.15 and run through the lanes down to Faversham Creek.

The weekend of 17/18 May is the Faversham Transport Weekend and the Sunday is the bike and car day.

My usual sort of route, mainly lanes with only a couple of miles of main road when getting around Maidstone.

There will be loads going on so I was thinking on the lines of getting there and having a brew / breakfast and then seeing what we want at the festival and make the most of the day.

As part of the festival is based at the creek we probably wil not be able to park there but I am sure it will all be good on the day.

See you at Eynsford:thumb2:thumb2

I'm definitely interested but I cannot commit just at the moment.

I'll let you know!

Thanks,
Andy

Come on you lucky people.............

Weather forecast good, nice route (IMHO:augie:augie) through the lanes and an interesting event to have a look around when we get there.

What else have you got to do...........

Well - Dave Slevin and Jacko on the sick list have got reasonable excuses..........................(and get well soon you guys)

thanks for the get well message, H said put her down as a maybe if she can get her pushbike over the bridge. looks like Andy going to be your tail end charlie, but I'm sure a few others will turn up for what will be a great Woodsie ride Dave & H

I will try and make that so put me down as a possible

I have now progressed from a maybe to a definite :thumb2

Andy

So the best we can expect so far is three bikes perhaps 4 is Bikemad can make it - or perhaps Bikemad at Faversham and possibly see Dave & H there:thumb

Hope the forecast good weather brings a few more out:thumb:thumb

Thanks for the heads up Greg.........................

Big event on at Brands Hatch this weekend - A20 may be subject to heavy traffic.

........the route is away from Eynsford on lanes and crosses the A20 a couple of miles South of the circuit. Should be OK.

A20 - that "A" indicates it's too busy to be on one of my routes unless there is no alternative. I try to keep to the roads where there's grass growing along the middle:thumb2:thumb2

Just got indoors from my release from hospital, so I fully expect to not make Sunday. However, this new hip feels great already and a return to the 1150GSA is only a matter of time :thumb2 it's only now I have the op. over that I realise how I've missed the joys of riding "The elephant"!! See you all soon.
BTW how's the knee Dave (Slevin)? Are you back in the saddle (!!;?)
Jacko

great news you're now home, glad you're feeling the benefits already, take it easy try not to do too much too soon,I've been out 3 days now and still contemplating whether I'm well enough to do the washing up:thumb

favvers

Good ride Kev thanks for plotting that most enjoyable and a perfect day for it :beerjug:

Thanks for coming along

Good blast through the lanes with Kev & Steve. Not too much traffic but a few horses & ponies and loads of cyclists.

Faversham was pretty crowded and some good stuff at the creek.

Peg leg Dave & Helen already there,

Nice cuppa and a bacon and egg roll, good chat and nice ride home.

Until the next one :thumb2:thumb2
