Ride out to Aldeburgh next Wednesday 5th August

If the weather is looking kind and I can get a day off I quite fancy this. :thumb

*whisper mode* if anyone from the wet end of essex is going and wouldn't mind a pillion jumping on the back of their bike, I know a short pink haired bird who desperately needs to get out on a bike for a day from Harwich.....she is genuinely a really good pillion and I'd buy your chips and pay for your fuel if it's of any good?:thumb2 */whisper mode*

Meet you there. I'll keep an eye out for an eta.

(Chelmsford a bit far from me for a start point)

No problem. According to the Garmin file, Chelmsford to Aldeburgh is 184 km.

If we leave at 10.00 sharp with full fuel tanks I'd say we should be in Aldeburgh between 1.00 and 1.30pm - does that sould reasonable?

Er, well just that really.......

My good lady Rosie would probably love to get out on a bike (I'm off the road at the moment) and as I said, she's genuinely a good pillion.

I'd be happy to send her along with the pocket money to pay for the chips if someone who's experienced with a pillion would take her along......it would mean a detour to Harwich for you though :(

I haven't mentioned this thread to her so there is a chance she's got something else planned, but she does get kranky of she can't go out on a bike every so often and when I saw this thread I thought I'd toss the idea up just in case any kind hearted tosser would bite :)

She comes fully kitted and so on:thumb

Right, I'm off camping in Mersea for a couple of nights tomorrow so won't be back umtil Tuesday. I'm still on for this bimble if anyone else would like to join in?

Still planning to be at Tesco in Chelmsford for 09.30 for a 10.00 depart. I will probably have son and heir as pillion.

I think she may know...

And she's been bouncing up and down like a pink fluffy thing ever since I said that there was a vague chance she may be able to get a ride. :blast

I'm not going to harp on 'cos I know full well it's a big ask, but if anyone does fancy making a small pink thing very very happy, even if it's not on this bimble , please do shout up....Rosie's desperate to get out on a bike and on reflection, I probably shouldn't have mentioned it to her, but I did :blast

Hi mate,

Probably not in the best frame of mind to take a passenger at the moment after a low-speed "off" at the weekend with Mrs Monty on the back. Otherwise I am usually up for a day out with a willing passenger. :(

I should add that it was very slow, and in fact the first incident I have had in years. I owned the Strom for over 3 years and it was never as much as dropped. :blast

Maybe next time if it has not freaked the poor girl out too much.

Matt

PM replied to with mine. Monty - see you there or are you meeting in Chelmsford?

I will see you there for some lunch, mate. If the weather holds I may pop in to the Marina at Shotgate for a coffee in the afternoon on the way back south. Not a bad view across the estuary. :thumb
