Myself and a few guys from work are having a ride out to Great Yarmouth NEXT Saturday.

If anyone fancies tagging along we are going to meet at the Silver Ball Cafe on the A10 between Buntingford and Royston.

Start the day with a breakfast and we are going to leave the Cafe at 08.30.

We will be taking the scenic route there and stopping about every 50 or so miles for a smoke and so the sports bike riders can get some blood back in their hands.

Would be good to see a few GS's there.

Thanks Mark

I enjoyed the run yesterday. The bike needs a good clean now but it have to wait for a bit longer:D

07.30am and 16 riders and 1 pillion met outside the Silver Ball Cafe located on the A10 just north of Buntingford. We ate breakfast and went outside for the group photo. Before making our very own ‘LONG WAY ROUND’ to Great Yarmouth.

The route that we did was great and it took in some fantastic roads.

Silver Ball, Royston, Bassingbourn, Caxton, Papworth, St Ives, Chatteris, March, Guyhirn, Wisbech, Kings Lynn, Hunstanton, Sheringham, Cromer, North Walsham, Caister and finally to Great Yarmouth.

We made several stops along the way for fuel, smoke, teas and for a stretch of legs.

We finally arrived in Great Yarmouth at around 13.30 where we spent around 2 hours there before making our way back via Beccles, Bungay, Ixworth, Bury St Edmonds, Haverhill, Duxford, Royston and back down towards home.

It was about 300 miles taking in some fantastic roads.

There was a great assortment of bikes 650cs, GPZ, 900 Hornet, 1000 fazor, GSX, Triumph speedmaster, V Strom, 1200 Bandit, K1200RS and couple of 1150gs’s and a couple of 1200gs’s

Thanks to you all for a safe trip.

No doubt had to wait for the kedgeree and Devilled kidneys.....:D

You haven't been to the Silver Ball, have you?

Their more usual breakfast fare is something like pork swords, shirt-lifters and a lump of scrambled.

Greg
