Outdoing the Belgian's?

I have to say I never saw this as anything more than a GS club ride-out. The numbers don't worry me either, just those who said they'd come and you end up hanging around for them which has a knock-on on the rest of the travel itinery.

The only process improvement I'll make to that is make sure dpearture times are prompt irrespective of who said they were coming. There was an expectation that more would set off from The Pied Bull and this might be where a sense of frustration comes from.

The actual choice of venue or route I'll not knock, the critics should there be any are more than welcome to organise the next one. Sure I didn't go in to the museum but I did have an enjoyable time chatting to GS'ers both members and others then just decided to go for a ride instead. After sweeping up and making sure all the chicks stayed together it was the least I deserved :D

I think the GS club could well plan an event in the future that attempts to bring together a massive number of GS's but such a thing would take an inordinate amount of planning, and we are supporting the Belgian event this year to the tune of some 40 GS'ers and I wouldn't like to detract attention or support from that event.

So my personal thanks to Phil for the suggestion, Yosi for being ringmaster and Woodsie for the routing, mapping and leading. :thumb
