ride out

I'm near Grimsby so the motorway makes it easy enough to get inland sharpish, although the Lakes and a bit of mooching about would be a 500 mile day for me and is maybe pushing it a bit ... See how it goes and whether you get a group together, I don't want to stop you getting the miles in.
Cheers

Would fancy that assuming the rain gods dont get their revenge for all the decent weather we have had lol :beerjug:

So, so far we have 2 from Wakefield, 1 from Grimsby and 1 from Sheffield.
How about the North York moors for a day out?
Possibly meet at seaways cafe, Fridaythorpe. 10AM? Get there a bit early if you want a brekki.

Cheers Dave.

My wife is now having to work on Wednesday which means I have to pick my boy up from school at 3:20pm, makes it a bit difficult for me to get there and back in time so I reckon I have to cancel. If things change I'll post back here. Sorry:mad:

:mad:Might be a problem now! went out on bike yesterday starter button stuck on (starts when ignition is turned on )sent for part but a bit nervous of using in case I damage something will see what the post brings If I dont make it have a good un

Thanks for the interest guys. Looking forward to getting out, Been erecting a garden shed all day, Bloody instructions my ass.
Looks good now it's up. Might get some of my garage space back now, A garage is no place to keep a lawn mower and other garden equipment.
If the weather is going to be as good as you guys say, Not had chance to look at a forecast yet, I'll be on my black R1200 GS. If it looks like it might rain I'll be on my black G650X Country.
Would be great if you could join us JB.
I'll see everyone else at seaways at 10.

Cheers Dave.

Thanks to SteadySteve and JB for a great ride out today. Some great back roads taken to get us to LordStones cafe at the top of Carlton bank. Even better ones to take is back to Helmsley, The long way, Where we said good by to JB. Steve and myself headed down to Malton where we parted to head home.
Respect to Steve for hauling a RT1200 round most of the unclassified roads we took, Well you no what JB is like, And we were on his stomping ground.
Thanks also to JB for taking over as leader to take us on some road I had not been on before.

Great weather, great roads, And great company.

Cheers Dave.

Good ride out Dave/JB , good to meet you both and put faces to names etc. Some roads I hadn't been on before with great views and scenery.
The RT is quite nimble.... when the wheels are on the tarmac
Cheers, Steve.

Glad you both enjoyed it, I certainly did

We did a fair few cracking roads and my bike was showing 188 miles, so respect to you guys who must have been nearer 300

My stomping ground and I was mentally ticking off all the trails too, must get out on those soon too

Been a few years since I have ridden all of those backroads, although I did do some with Timolgra and Petcul last summer

We must do it again, in fact I'll put a ride up in a few weeks in early June - themed NY Moors Abbeys and Stately Homes
