I'm down near Folkestone and need an excuse for a ride. Any idea where you're headed yet (I could meet you en route), or shall I come and meet you at Oakdene? Is 9.30 the time you're leaving, or the time you'll be tucking in to breakfast?

If I ride slower than you, will you all point and laugh at me?

PS I've ridden round the areas on the map above and I've NEVER seen any fords there, or heard of them. But I've never even considered going even a little bit off "proper" roads, so they may be there but just hidden.

Hi Robin,
Oakdene cafe is at the bottom of Wrotham Hill on the A20 which is off Junction 2A M26. We're going to leave meet there at 9.30 and then get ourselves down to Dymchurch.
As for riding slower, we'll just be 'avin a poodle down there. Come along mate

Don't ride behind me mate, just taken the baffle out of the Akro, bit loud to say the least . Methinks it might go back in after I've seen how the bike runs with it out.

Just checked the weather forecast for tomorrow and it looks like rain I can't be arsed to go if it's pissing with rain.
Sounds like it'll be ideal for you Burfcontrol, it'll soften all the dirt and probably give it a good clean

3 of us did turn up - me, Kevin and Robin.

Going out in the bad weather may seem silly, but it got worse.

Robin and Kevin sensibly went home (I think) but I foolishly went expoloring.

Sorry Nick, didn't actually expect anyone to show given the rain. Just don't enjoy riding in these conditions, fair play to you for giving it a shot. I can't do next Sunday but okay for the following if you're interested.

Today was OK as it goes........

There was another blue 12' parked in the layby opposite the Oakdene but whoever that was didn't make themselves known.

Rain stopped soon after 10.30 and went for a cruise around getting back home at 14.00ish. The lanes were awful, very slippery and there were some with more water across than a ford - hope you found some Nick!

Took the 1150 to give it a preparatory run out as it is off to its new home next weekend and had to give it a final and good wash and scrub when I got home.

Ran like dream and it got me thinking - why did I sell it and keep the new one

Next time it will be on the 1200 then.
